Welcome! My name is Liz McCraine, and I write YA fiction. My love for books began when I was a small child and lived in my family’s haunted ancestral home in New England. Besides creaking floors, slanted doors, and mysterious moving lights, I also dealt with my great-great grandmother Elizabeth’s ghost and, even more frightening, my brothers’ frequent scare attempts. Needless to say, getting to sleep at night could be difficult, and I often relied on stories to distract me.
Though extended family still dwells at my ancestral home, I have lived in Ecuador, Germany, and many parts of the United States. I currently reside in Montana with my family of six humans, three cats, two horses, and a very naughty Labrador pup named Luna.
But enough about me. What about my books? Naturally, my first love is suspense. How could it be otherwise? But I also dabble in fantasy, as you will discover in my Kingdom of Aggadorn series. Regardless of the sub-genre, all my YA books have a few things in common: danger, romance, and a satisfying ending (i.e. I don’t kill off my main squeeze). My books would probably be rated between PG and PG-13 for violence and light romance. These stories aren’t the kind you’ll find littering the floor at your local preschool, but neither are they the type you’ll have to hide from your parents. So pick one, bring it home, and enjoy!
All the best,
Liz McCraine
